STOP LOSS ADMINISTRATOR
COLUMBUS, OH

To succeed, candidates should have outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The essential functions making up this position include:

  • Must evaluate RFP to determine if demographics are within internal guidelines to pursue quote. Work with Sales/AM to obtain required data, additional info,etc.
  • Select appropriate carrier markets based on group info.
  • Determine most competitive carriers and actively negotiate better pricing terms
  • Select which market would be the best offer and appropriate for presentation to the group.
  • Effectively communicate with sales, AM, etc., regarding specific requests and the impact to underwriting for each request.

The qualifications for this outstanding position are:

  • High school graduatewith at least 2 years college or equivalent work experience.

Experience Base:

  • 3-5 years within the stop loss industry
  • Excellent Negotiating Skills.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional Mathematical aptitude
  • Underwriting knowledge a plus.

REPORTING ANALYST (Actuarial Services Dept.)
COLUMBUS, OH

We are CenBen USA, an aggressive, growth-oriented, national third party benefit administrator. We are currently seeking a talented, experienced group benefits professional to join our family of companies as a Reporting Analyst within our Actuarial Services Department

The essential functions making up this position include:

  • Develop aggregate and specific stop loss reports at the beginning of each plan year according to the parameters set forth in the Stop Loss Contract and accepted rate proposal
  • Order monthly claims and enrollment reports and other data as needed
  • Reconcile monthly claims reports to the client's source check register
  • Identify problems with data and research as needed
  • Prepare monthly specific and aggregate stop loss reports and distribute to appropriate parties
  • Communicate by telephone, correspondence and e-mail with stop loss carriers, clients and their brokers and agents
  • Coordinate reporting and problem resolution with internal departments including Claims, IT, and Account Management
  • Produce quality and accurate reports, while maintaining a pace necessary to meet established deadlines
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as required by management
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement processes for efficiencies


The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of one to three years experience working in the employee group healthcare benefits field
  • Experience in reading and interpreting employer plan documents and stop loss contracts
  • Possess advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook skills, and the ability to develop skills for any other software packages, as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required. Prior experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Extremely well organized and ability to handle multiple tasks through to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment that is "deadline" oriented
  • Professional work ethic with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent mathematics skills
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills

The essential functions making up this position include:

  • Researches and responds to inquiries from customers, physicians and hospitals via telephone calls and/or written inquiries.
  • Determines the origin of the question, misconception or problems and takes the appropirate corrective steps in a variety of situations. This includes the ability to identify, analyze, answer, solve, resolve and follow-thorough on all activities and involvements.
  • Inititates claims adjustment process.
  • Requests information from customers and/or providers to obtain information vital to claims processing or resolution of problems.
  • Requests and collects reimbursement for erroneously paid claims, i.e., contract cancellation, overpayments and duplication of payments.
  • Interfaces with other departments within the organization as necessary.
  • Meets established productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Complies with corporate attendance policies.
  • Has the authority to render decisions and execute the responsibilities set forth herein.

This position requireda High School degree or equivalent. Previous experience in public work is highly desirable. Previous customer service and/or claims processing experience is preferred.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS

The essential functions making up this position include:

  • Trouble shooting problems with accounts to include eligibility, claims, and networks
  • Review and disseminate periodic client reports. Preparation of ad hoc reports, i.e., out of network vendor, claims reports, etc.
  • Timely and quality response to customer inquiries
  • Completion of special assignments that contribute to the effectiveness of the organization
  • Present findings on network performance and recommended action plans to clients and providers/networks
  • Collaborates with clients and providers/networks to develop cost containment/reductions strategies
  • Monitors the implementation and effectiveness of action plans/strategies through trend analysis
  • Facilitates quarterly client meetings with the client and provider/network representatives
  • Conducts regular employer, employee, network, and provider education meetings
  • Maintains strong communication plan with clients and key network providers/ network partners
  • Manage vendor relationships on behalf of customers including PBMs, EAPs, Medical Management, and Data
  • Continually articulate the CenBen USA value proposition to customers, brokers and consultants
  • Keep client brokers and consultants abreast of CenBen USA information and client specific information
  • Lead the implementation of new clients to ensure day one customer satisfaction
  • Lead implementation of new vendors for existing customers
  • Perform other related duties as required
